Japan’s apparel imports increase 10% in July 2026

Japan's apparel and accessories imports rose 10.4 per cent year on year to 244,207 million yen (~$1.54 billion) in July 2026.
Textile yarn and fabric imports climbed 20.1 per cent, while exports rose 14.6 per cent and textile machinery exports 17.7 per cent.
First-half 2026 apparel imports increased 6.0 per cent; textile machinery outbound shipments grew 11.7 per cent to 160,129 million yen.
