Argentina’s apparel imports surge 36% as liberalisation lowers prices

Argentina’s apparel import value rose 36.0 per cent year on year to $419.38 million in H1 2026, with volume at 28.45 million kg.
Lower clothing duties under Decree 236/2025, eased import controls, better foreign currency access and cross-border e-commerce boosted overseas sourcing.
T-shirts, jerseys and trousers grew faster than coats, while the average import price fell to $14.74 per kg.
