New Zealand apparel imports up in July, but cumulative down

New Zealand’s apparel imports rose 0.8 per cent year on year to NZ$174.01 million (~$102 million) in July 2026, Stats NZ data show.
January–July imports fell 1.6 per cent to NZ$1.197 billion; knitted apparel declined 1 per cent and non-knitted 2.4 per cent.
Apparel exports fell 19.3 per cent in July but rose 1.1 per cent in January–July; knitted fabric imports rose 21.6 per cent cumulatively.
