Egypt’s apparel boom faces a new test: Can growth diversify?

Egypt’s apparel exports rose 15 per cent to $1.775 billion in H1 2026, with June shipments up 47 per cent year on year to $355 million.
The US and Europe added $229 million, slightly more than the sector’s total $227 million gain, while other destinations were slightly negative.
AEC targets up to $4 billion in 2026 as new textile and apparel capacity tests whether growth can diversify.
